The heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier is going to defend his prestigious title against the former champion Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 241. This fight is not just about the title. It’s a fight for legacy now. if Daniel Cormier wins he will cement himself as the best heavyweight of all time and if Stipe wins he gets his title back as the baddest man on the planet.

But fans are also interested to know where does DC go after this fight with Stipe. Does he defend his title in the heavyweight to be the second fighter to defend his heavyweight title 3 times? Does he fight Jon Jones to erase his only loss from the past? or  Does he take retirement from the sports as a fighter?

Well, Cormier has finally come up with an answer in his recent interview with Ariel Helwani. When he was aksed whether he would fight Francis Ngannou to defend his title after he wins against stipe, Daniel Cormier answered that if he decides to fight then he won’t be fighting anyone except Jon Jones after the Stipe’s fight. DC also said that he might take retirement and work as a fight analyst for UFC.

Francis Ngannou beat Cain Velasquez via knock out. And after the fight, he called out the champion Daniel Cormier. Cain is a close friend of DC and a teammate from AKA gym. So there is a story behind this fight. But DC doesn’t seem interested at all in a fight with Ngannou. He praised Ngannou for his performance against Stipe, but he has decided to take the big fights only after Stipe. And right now no fight is bigger than the third installment of DC vs Jones.

Daniel Cormier has also mentioned that he wants to fight Jones in the light heavyweight division. But Jones has guaranteed that DC won’t cut that weight and come down to 205 to fight him. It would be interesting to see how things play out after the DC vs Stipe rematch.
