It has pretty much been established that Daniel Ricciardo is impossible to dislike, especially with his epic banter. During the British Grand Prix weekend, former teammate Max Verstappen was being interviewed and Ricciardo was passing by. Then, the Australian was called over to join Max.

The two were asked if they missed each other as Red Bull teammates, and they promptly replied that they didn’t, though they did sport cheeky grins. Verstappen even said, “I wanted to say a little bit, but now I’m like f**k you”. To which Daniel Ricciardo suddenly went wide-eyed at Verstappen casually swearing.

After a bit of explanation about who swears and who doesn’t, Ricciardo sniffed and said, “You smell a little bit”. Max Verstappen countered by reminding Daniel Ricciardo of how much the suit sweats.

Then, the topic switched to their underclothes, and Ricciardo admitted that he normally wears dark blue underneath. However, he opted for white because he knew he’d meet Verstappen and he “wanted to smell beautiful”.

Afterwards, when Verstappen left, Daniel Ricciardo confided in the interviewer that the entire exchange was weird. He cheekily said, “I’ve never talked to him in three years”, before looking delighted upon learning that the entire conversation was heard live.

Coming to qualifying, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo will both be starting in the top 10. The Red Bull man will be lining up in 4th, while the Renault driver will be a few places behind, in 7th.

Meanwhile, Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas starts on pole, ahead of teammate and local hero, Lewis Hamilton. Behind them, and alongside Verstappen, is Ferrari youngster, Charles LeClerc. LeClerc’s teammate, Sebastian Vettel starts in 6th alongside the other Red Bull of Pierre Gasly, who is gradually finding his feet.
