Its very rare to find an F1 fan who isn’t a fan of Daniel Ricciardo. He is fast, blazing fast, dedicated and moreover one of the funniest guys in the paddock. That large grim of his is as iconic as anything else.
Daniel Ricciardo has given us many memorable moments over the years. In 2014, he schooled Vettel taking the only 3 victories of Red Bull Racing that year, finishing third behind the Mercedes duo. Then came shoey: a celebration that he occasionally did over the podiums that came became such a sensation that Liberty went ahead and got a trademark for the same.
During the ongoing Mexican Grand Prix, he took Sky Sports’ reporter David Croft for a few hot laps around the circuit in an Aston Martin. Croft asked him a few questions meanwhile, the replies of all of which were nothing short of remarkable. The reactions of Croft are brilliant to watch as well. Watch the interview below :
Some interesting excerpts from the interview:
Q: Are you the happiest when you’re behind the wheel?
A: Yea, that or when I’m listening to some live music.
Q: What’s the best thing about being an Australian?
A: I think we’re just chill, we’re laidback.
Q: When was the last time you cried?
A: I was very close last week in Austin, but for reasons you wouldn’t expect. I was watching this lady perform on her guitar and it was powerful. I was really moved.
Q: What was the last time you cried watching a movie?
A: I was on a plane, and I always get vulnerable when I’m on a plane. I was watching Fault in our Stars. It was a chick flick, but very emotional.
Q: If you could be anyone, who would you be?
A: Since I love music, I would love to be a musician, rockstar, DJ, or something. I would just to see what its like to lead a musician’s life.
How can someone not love Daniel Ricciardo?
