Match details-

Fixture: Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers

Date and time: Tuesday, 3rd December 2019, 9:00 PM ET (Wednesday, 2:00 AM GMT)

Venue: Pepsi Center, Denver, Colorado

Preview-

The top two teams in the Western Conference face off on Tuesday at the Pepsi Centre. The Lakers, having won 10 games in a row, lost only their third match of the season in their previous game against Dallas Mavericks. Their 17-3 record is still the best in the league by some distance, showing why the team is a serious contender for the Championship this season. Teams have found it difficult to stop the pair of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, whose performances have put them as strong contenders for the MVP award this season.

Like Lakers, the Nuggets also had their winning streak broken in their previous game. They had won seven games in a row before losing to Sacramento Kings in the last possession of Over Time. The Nuggets have lost only two of their last ten and four in the season.

A win for either of the sides on Tuesday will be a strong statement in the quest for the Championship, although there’s a long way to go.

Predictions-

A few MVP contenders will be on the court when the Nuggets take on the Lakers. Nikola Jokic’s start to the season might not have reached expectations, but he certainly seems to have found his feet. He has registered an average of 15.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and six assists per game.

For the Lakers, Anthony Davis’s average of 26.1 points per game is the highest amongst his teammates. He has also made significant defensive contributions averaging 9.3 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 1.5 steals per game.

Tuesday’s contest would be tight one with both the teams coming in with a strong defensive record. Eventually, the experience in the Lakers side might take them over the line in the game.
