Destiny 2: Season of the Lost Sets an Exciting Premise for the Witch Queen Saga

The Destiny 2 Showcase has pulled all the stops to create a day that the community will ever forget. The event started out with a bang after developers Bungie gave fans their first taste of The Witch Queen expansion. It will arrive next year, and fans can’t wait to try out all the new content. But, before that arrives, players will still have a lot more content to experience with Season of the Lost.
The popular MMORPG title will start its game’s latest season today, and fans have a lot to unpack. Over the past few weeks, the developers had already announced some of the changes that will arrive with it. However, the trailer for the game showcase some of the fun stuff that players can do. Along with that, fans can also witness the return of a major character in Mara Sov.

Mara Sov returns to Destiny 2 with Season of the Lost
The Destiny 2 Showcase revealed the return of an iconic character of the title in Mara Sov with Season of the Lost. The game’s fifteenth season will serve as a prologue to the 2022 expansion in The Witch Queen. In the season, players will have their first glimpse at the Hive Queen, and it sure seems to be packed with a lot of amazing content.
The two Queens in Mara Sov and Savathun will battle it out in Season of the Lost. Players can experience the game’s ever growing lore with a new Exotic Quest in the Ager’s Scepter. Fans will also have access to a new Exotic weapon in the Lorentz Driver along with the Season Pass. So Guardians will definitely have some options to aid the Queen in her battle against the Hive.

Crossplay and Anti-Cheat has finally arrived
Destiny 2 has also nnounced some massive content changes including tweaks to the Light subclasses in the game’s fifth year. This will begin with the Void subclass which will receive an update with The Witch Queen expansion. Dreaming City will also come alive following the return of Mara Sov in the game. Trials of Osiris will also arrive with a major upgrade on September 10 as it will now have an Anti-Cheat courtesy of BattlEye. Plus, it will come with matchmaking as well, which should satisfy a lot of fans.

As the game goes live today, the long-awaited feature of crossplay will also join the fray. Players can now team up with their friends on different platforms and have the time of their life in both PvE and PvP modes. Season of the Lost will be online on Destiny 2 soon, and fans should definitely hop on and try all the new features and changes to the Bungie developed title.
