Dr Disrespect and Nadeshot’s Stream Prompts Twitch to Change Rules

Twitch banned Dr Disrespect from steaming on the platform a while ago. Since then, there have been a lot of streamers who have featured Doc on their stream. However, Twitch has been handing out bans to those who stream with him on their platform. Although they have been hellbent on making sure Doc doesn’t stream with Twitch streamers, a group of popular streamers have gotten away with featuring him.
The incident happened during a Vikkstar Warzone event where Crimsix and Nadeshot had teamed up with Doc to play the tournament. Being in the same squad, viewers could hear Doc speaking in the background through the voice chat. Nadeshot definitely took a risk by not muting him, knowing Twitch’s rules, but he clearly didn’t have to face the music.
Although Twitch closed this loophole in their policy soon after. Esports Talk has uploaded a video describing the chain of events that took place.

Twitch has asked streamers to ensure their level best to keep suspended users away from the platform. The clarification to the SEP states, “…we expect you to make a good faith effort to remove them (suspended users) from your broadcast, mute them, or otherwise limit their interactions with your stream.”

It is clear that even though some people got away with it once, Twitch wants to deter streamers from doing this again. It is evident from the timing of the policy update that Twitch is trying to avoid Doc. Therefore, this is probably the last time someone would feature Dr Disrespect on their stream and get away with it.
Since Nadeshot or Snoop Dogg are prominent personalities, Twitch probably thought better of taking action against them. Following this, fans have urged other prominent personalities like Nickmercs to stand up for Doc. However, Doc has repetitively asked streamers to avoid featuring him on their stream to prevent them from getting banned. While this has obviously created a lot of problems for Doc in terms of who to play with, he certainly has big plans in mind.
