E3 2021, the digital adaption of the annual video game trade event, is right around the corner. The biggest developers and publishers from around the world will take part in it, and the expectations of fans are sky high.

Even though a wide range of publishers such as Nintendo, Square Enix, and Capcom have confirmed their partnership for E3 2021, only three shows have been announced so far. However, as per prominent journalist Jeff Grubb, Microsoft’s Xbox event will most likely take place on June 13.

The VentureBeat journalist talked about the Xbox show case event in the latest episode of The Game Mess Show Live.

What to expect from Microsoft’s Xbox event at E3 2021

It won’t be an overstatement that PlayStation has won all the console wars up till now. Despite offering similar hardware specifications, Xbox consoles lack an exciting list of exclusive titles.

From the looks of it, Microsoft has been actively working on introducing more first-party titles for the Xbox lately. The American tech giant has acquired Bethesda, which is a subsidiary of ZeniMax media. Considering that many classic games like Fallout 4 and Doom Eternal have been published by Bethesda, this deal might be ground-breaking.

Naturally, fans expect Xbox to finally reveal its projects with Bethesda at E3 2021. As per insiders, five entirely new AAA titles might be a part of the upcoming showcase.

It is worth noting that Sony will not participate in E3 2021. This implies that Xbox can easily earn the biggest spotlight in the event, and should make the best use of it with a wide range of reveals and announcements.

Will we finally get a release date for Starfield?

Starfield, Bethesda’s highly anticipated sci-fi game, has been in development for over 7 years. However, the developers haven’t revealed much about the project, except a teaser trailer that released in 2019.

Most recently, reports suggested Starfield will be a PC/Xbox exclusive. This was an enormous blow for millions of PlayStation patrons, who’ve always enjoyed Bethesda’s games on their consoles. On the flip side, this announcement had made Xbox fans more excited than ever, as they might get another exclusive title for the Series X/S alongside Halo Infinite.

E3 2021 can definitely be the ideal platform for Microsoft to drop an update regarding Starfield. This could include another trailer, gameplay reveal, or an official release date.

Having said that, all the aforementioned information is speculative. Microsoft is yet to announce its Xbox E3 2021 event, so take it with a grain of salt.
