Respawn Entertainment found success and favorable reviews when they decided to kick-start a fresh franchise with Jedi: Fallen Order. Players take up the role of Cal Kestis, a young Jedi Padawan, as he navigates through the Star Wars universe. The story is set after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. EA made an announcement regarding earnings for the fourth fiscal quarter on Tuesday. Not surprisingly, they declared Jedi: Fallen Order a huge success.

Released in November last year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the title has since garnered 10 million unique users. EA’s CEO, Andrew Wilson also declared it was “a rare achievement” for a maiden title in a franchise to surpass 10 million in sales. The home quarantine being followed across the globe must have surely helped, but it as merited nonetheless.

Given the huge success of Jedi: Fallen Order, it is unlikely Respawn Entertainment will let the franchise die down. In fact, last December, fans noticed a job listing by and for Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars division. While it was promptly taken down and no official word was given out, they are certain to be working on the sequel.
