The all-new season of Fortnite Chapter 2 is here and it for sure is going to be EPIC! Fortnite concluded what might be the finest season finale so far with a charismatic fight against Galactus. This helped the Marvel Universe to unclasp from the BR and set a pedestal on which season 5 will be staged.

Epic Games has dubbed Chapter 2 Season 5 as ‘Zero Point’ and it involves a series of humongous changes. The new season involves bounty hunters from distinct realities who join hands to fight against the ‘Loop’.

A season in the game usually lasts around 10 weeks. However, this number is subject to change, as was with Chapter 2 Season 2, which lasted for around 17 weeks.

The servers are back online after the end of Season 4, but the players need to download the contents of Update 15.0 before they can partake in the adventure.

Welcome to an all-new season of Fortnite

The players were already aware of the presence of the first hunter of the new season. The Mandalorian will serve as the first hunter in the game. He gets an entry in the game owing to Epic’s symbiotic relationship with Disney+. However, it seems like the other hunters will be original Fortnite characters.

As expected, the new season also unfolds a new Battle Pass. This Battle Pass comprises not just The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda, but also Mave the shapeshifter and Mancake the fighting Flapjack.

This season, too, is expected to last for over 10 weeks. This is enough to suggest that this is just the first wave of new characters with Epic hinting at more hunters ‘from the realities beyond the Loop’.

There is little evidence about what this could mean or what characters will make their way to the season. Whatever be the case, the players for sure are in for a treat!

One of the key highlights of the new season is the addition of new locations. These include a quasi-Roman arena, a new jungle area for the players to go at it, and a brand new desert around the Zero Point.

The usual Fortnite routine has also been tweaked a little for the new season. The players will now be able to pick up quests and bounties from other characters and will also be able to hire them to complete objectives. The players can also challenge the other players for a duel and reap the rewards.

Completing these bounties will enable the players to earn a new in-game currency called ‘bars’. The players can exchange these bars for new weapons, new upgrades, and other in-game services.
