Marathons are a part of the common ideas list when it comes to endorsing health or raising funds for charities. But how about an in-game marathon in your favorite battle royale video game? As it happens, Activision has just announced a virtual 100k marathon event in Call of Duty Warzone. Not only will this event support a special cause, but it will also get the participants an exciting chance to bag some intriguing in-game rewards!

Call of Duty Warzone is a popular battle royale game, as most of you may know. When it comes to hosting awareness campaigns, Activision has been a notable contributor. Being a free-to-play shooter game and accessible across popular platforms, Warzone’s battlegrounds are perfect to promote a charity event, like the Warzone Call of Duty Veteruns event.

The ongoing Veteruns event is supposedly the first in-game charity race, hosted as a result of a collaboration among Activision-Blizzard, Call of Duty Endowment, and Twitter. The event went live on May 26 and will end on June 2.

For every 10 KM run, a player completes in-game during the event, Activision will allocate $1 as a part of a $1 million total donation. The total contribution per player can be up to $10. To raise the maximum contribution, a player has to complete a 100KM marathon.

How to participate in the Call of Duty Warzone 100K Veteruns Event?

Participating in the Call of Duty 100K Veteruns Event is as easy as just running in-game! As you complete milestones (For example, 25KMS), you’ll be receiving exciting rewards as entitled. Completing 25Kms will get you a rare bronze titled Calling Card, followed by an epic gold at 50KMS and a legendary gold at 100 Kms.
