Activision offers refunds to players who bought the blueprint for R1 Shadowhunter

According to a report by Eurogames, the studio pulled the weapon from both BCOW and Warzone. The studio has also offered refunds to the community members who made the purchase of the blueprint.

Although the weapon cannot be used in the Warzone, fans still bought the blueprint. However, this crossbow was fully operational in Black Ops Cold War and players were also able to unlock it via a simple challenge.

The studio shared the news with a tweet and also laid down a timeline for its introduction in both games.

Twitter reacts to developers update about the crossbow controversy

Treyarch executive Josh Torres offered a clarification on the matter when a fan raised a query. He responded to the fan’s comment and gave the community a rundown of the current situation regarding the crossbow.

The news of the development being reset did not sit well with the fans at all. This tweet attracted a lot of reaction from the community, which clearly depicted their frustration with the game.

The developer never shed light on the hours of grind, nor was there any acknowledgment towards the effort the fans made to unlock everything. This fan highlighted that particular issue with a tweet in the thread.

The anger is justified, as fans must have spent hours grinding for the new weapon.

A great tip for the players who would be eagerly looking forward to this weapon’s return- just hop onto Hardcore mode and complete every challenge.
