After the acquisition of Twitter by the eccentric billionaire Elon Musk, there have been some drastic changes in the platform. Musk’s perspective has introduced new regimes and paywalls to the user structure of Twitter, making it a more “profitable” and “creator-friendly” social media site. In his latest change, Musk has introduced a “subscription” option for users. They can sub to their preferred creator to get access to the “exclusive content” and gain some other perks, including a public badge that will denote them as a “subscriber” in the comment sections.

After this feature went live, YouTube’s top dog, MrBeast, also got an opportunity to monetize his Twitter followers. But even he hadn’t dreamt that Musk himself will be one of his new subscribers. Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast already proclaims himself as the “Super Official CEO” of Twitter, and this new revelation raises the question.

Back in December 2022, when Twitter was witnessing a new wave of change, Musk announced that he was looking for potential candidates for the “CEO” position. Seeing the opportunity, Jimmy came forward and asked, “Can I be the new Twitter CEO?” To his appeal, Elon Musk replied, “It’s not out of the question.”

Fans react to Jimmy being the new “in-charge”

Ever since this interaction, the meme of MrBeast being the next Twitter CEO has been an inside joke for the fans. That is why when Elon Musk subscribed to Jimmy, the fans went wild with theories and memes!

“Mr. Beast for Twitter CEO,” said a fan, while another added “Hey Mr. beast. Regarding your question: “who’s really in charge now?” I do still believe that would be Elon Musk. He subscribed to you, which is just a ‘show your support’ kind of thing. But Elon still owns twitter.” Many more such Tweets followed.
