Innersloth released its social party game, Among Us, back in 2018. Hardly did it know that the game would blow up exponentially after two whole years. The game entered the scene as a guardian angel for many aspiring streamers all over the world. The year 2020 saw the rise of unfamiliar names on the streaming charts, and a lot of them have Among Us to thank for the position.

The rise of the game naturally popularized the mod community. After a certain point in time, the original game eventually grew monotonous. With no new updates, it was losing interest and views. That’s when the mod version became more popular than the original version itself. Now, how can we discuss Among Us mods without mentioning the group of mod legends, JeromeACE, and friends?

They made an entire fan base around reviewing various unique mods. Most of these mods are not meant for public use. Jerome recently posted a video showcasing the working of a broken Engineering Imposter Role mod.

The Engineer Imposter in Among Us digs its own vent

As the title suggests, this mod lets the Imposter dig its own vent. The Imposter can dig an infinite number of vents. However, the catch is both imposter and crewmates can access the vent and roam around the map. Mod maker Trovvie in collaboration with AnotherDev created the mod after getting inspired from the comment section of previous mod videos.

In this mod, the Imposter can simply commit the murder, create a vent on spot and get away from the scene. The vents that he/she creates and the original ones in Among Us are accessible to the rest of the crew, making it tougher to spot the Imposter. The best part is these vents are permanent throughout the entire game. This means the vents created at the beginning of the map remain usable until the end of the game.

As seen in the video, crewmates accessing the vents somewhat broke the version. Since the entire ship can vent around, it cancels the probability of the Imposter getting caught because of venting. The imposter fleeing the crime scene with a new vent hardly leaves any traces behind. Overall, it’s a fun mod to play with friends. Which is your favorite Among Us mod?
