miHoYo’s latest anniversary event of Genshin Impact has created a brand new controversy. The community seems downright disappointed with the way the studio had handled everything. Fans expected to receive great rewards via in-game mail, but instead, the studio presented a competition.
Fans will have to fight tooth and nail against a legion of other players to win anniversary gifts. Moreover, the offered rewards and the chances of gaining them seem quite impossible. The mounting anger against miHoyYo’s greed has exploded on Twitter, where fans have been venting their frustration.

The studio has rolled out two major events that offer rewards like Primogems, Apple Airpods, Razer DeathAdder V2, Merchandise set, and random character drops. However, these rewards will only be handed out to lucky winners chosen by the studio and the number of rewards is just minuscule as compared to the size of the community. One notable gift in Aloy is really great but only PlayStation users can get her best in slot weapon ‘Predator’.
The first event, ‘The Promise of a Worldly Encounter‘ will ask you to capture and submit beautiful images of Teyvat based on the anniversary theme. Meanwhile, the other part of this event will ask you to create a video based on the same aforementioned theme.

There are plenty of things that miHoYo is doing incorrectly, and it seems like events are also becoming a major issue. Aren’t we all getting tired of this game in 2021? The long wait for meaningful content, a myriad of filler stories, and the obvious greedy nature of the game.
