Sony started implementing a new strategy to increase the reach of its games: releasing their PlayStation-exclusive games on PC. This started with Horizon: Zero Dawn, and ever since then, we have seen games like Days Gone, God of War, Spider-Man, and even Miles Morales released on Steam.

This has certainly helped them expand the fan base for their games. And now a very interesting leak suggests that yet another game is making its way to PC!

The PlayStation 5’s launch line-up was pretty impressive; from spectacular action games to souls-like masterpieces. It had everything. Though one of the most unexpected yet best-looking games out of them was Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, this game did not release as a launch title, yet it was pretty close to the console’s launch.

This game was the best showcase of the PlayStation 5’s fast-loading SSDs. The way Ratchet seamlessly changed worlds through rifts only became possible thanks to those SSDs. This feature, combined with its gameplay and visuals, made this game an instant hit.

And now some leaks suggest that this game is on its way to PC. Some Reddit users went ahead and found a job posting on Nixxes careers page for a UI / UX engineer demanding “experience in using coherent middleware”. For those unaware, Nixxes is the developer Sony specifically bought for their porting expertise.

This middleware was developed by Ratchet and Clank creator Insomniac and used in their games, such as Spider-Man and others. Spider-Man and Miles Morales are already on PC, so the only game that remains is the abovementioned action platformer.

This makes sense too; a while ago, Sony itself announced that they would start bringing their exclusives to PC sooner or later, and now they are going ahead according to that plan only. This only spells good news for gamers who have yet to experience this vibrant action platformer.

These games are always fun to play and excellent to look at, and they have a high replay value. It remains to be seen when gamers will be able to access this port. Would it be before or after the release of Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5?
