The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced around 3 years ago. Despite that, the game still hasn’t gone past the design phase. This news is quite heartbreaking for those people who were eagerly waiting for the game. According to Todd Howard, the game is still in its design phase and it will be powered by the Creation Engine 2. It has also been built for Bethesda’s next big RPG, Starfield.

Creation Engine 2 is like a new tech base and is built for both games. However, most of their development work is on Starfield right now but everybody is working on everything so the project gets intertwined. The entire team is ensuring that the engine can do every single thing the team has in mind for The Elder Scrolls 6.

There will be some time before we see any official update on The Elder Scrolls 6. All we have is a cinematic trailer and nothing else. Not even a single word about the game. According to Pete Hines, the early announcement was made to show that Bethesda didn’t abandon single-player games.
