Call of Duty League is going really well for Atlanta FaZe this season. Similar to the last season, once again FaZe are the top team in the League. This makes them favorites to win the title at the end of the season. In the first edition, FaZe were the favorites, but they ended up losing to Dallas Empire, wholeheartedly. Is 2021 the year of redemption?

Yesterday, we saw the end to the Stage III Majors with Atlanta FaZe winning the crown. They defeated New York Subliners in the finals, bagging the $200,000 grand prize. This brings two major titles to Atlanta’s bag, the first one being Stage I Major which took place in March. All the players, Cellium, Simp, Arcitys, and Abezy stepped up the game to bring home the glory yesterday.

FaZe Glide through Stage III Major finals in the Call of Duty League

In Stage II, all the players looked comfortable until they lost to Toronto Ultra in a devastating manner. Everyone was expecting a comeback in Stage III, but FaZe ran into some trouble. They had to push through the loser’s bracket to get matched up against New York for the finals. However, the loser’s bracket tour worked out well for the team as they faced a competitive team like Toronto Ultra and besides getting revenge for Stage II, they were also pretty warmed up for the best of nine finals format.

Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson became the best player of Stage III with an impressive K/D ratio of 1.22. McArthur “Cellium” Jovel was, however, the star of the finals with his flashy plays, especially the three-piece on Raid at the start of a Search and Destroy round.

However, on the losing side is James “Clayster” Eubanks, who is not a stranger to winning titles. Only last year, Clayster joined Karma and Crimsix as the only three players in history to have won three major championships. It goes without saying New York Subliners will pick it up from here and try to bounce back in Stage IV, led by the champion.
