Call of Duty Mobile has a huge year ahead in terms of content. After the Anniversary Season in October 2020, many players in the community felt nothing new is happening in the game. Furthermore, many protested against Activision for pulling away the Alcatraz map.

The Battle Royale mode might not be cutting it anymore. Even the inclusion of various elements from the Chinese version is not helping its tumbling popularity. However, with more time, CoDM might be able to revive the mode. Since pro players decide the fate of a multiplayer game largely, BR tournaments should be in the charts for CoDM.

However, every Call of Duty game has a fascination for the Zombies mode. Call of Duty Mobile is not an exception in this case. When the game was first launched, back in 2019, it came with the aforementioned mode. It was the first time CoD fans around the world played Zombies on a mobile device.

While that was a historic event, the mode itself failed to impress. Apart from the nostalgic quotient, there was not really much to go on with. The visuals lacked finesse, and gameplay was pretty murky.

The result was Activision pulling the mode from the game after a few weeks of launch. The traffic on the mode was so low that it made no sense for the studio to continue with it. Ever since, players have not seen Zombies in CoDM.

After two years, new leaks suggest the mode might be finally making a return.

Reddit post suggests a return of Call of Duty Zombies in mobile

A post on the official subreddit of Call of Duty Mobile suggests that the mode may be returning soon. The post shows a picture from the Chinese version and speaks about the pack-a-punch feature.

It has been a trend for the last few months where Activision has released all new content first in the Chinese version. Call it what you will, but seems like global players have to wait longer for the mode to finally release. The official post mentions that the mode will return later this year.

This will probably be an entirely new experience for the players. While there is no official release date as yet, devs might release some information before the beginning of the next season. There is still some time left for the current season, so be patient, as the news might drop any day now.
