Call of Duty players are excited for Zombies to appear in this year’s brand-new FPS premium. It will be the first Modern Warfare title to cross paths with the undead. Hence, the hype level is simply through the roof. But now, a new update from an insider has revealed an interesting detail on the upcoming Zombies mode in MW3.

Modern Warfare 3: Zombies will be featured in an open-world mode. It will follow a PvE format, requiring players to form teams in order to fight hordes of the undead. An insider, however, has claimed that the mode will be similar to DMZ, but with the addition of zombies.

Is the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 identical to Warzone DMZ?

Bob is a highly renowned individual on X (formerly Twitter). He’s known for leaking shocking details based on COD titles. This year, almost all the updates shared by him have turned out to be accurate in relation to MW3. Just ahead of the upcoming COD event, expected to reveal a detailed look at zombies, Bob recently dropped another massive leak.

Per the insider, the zombie experience in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is DMZ, but with Wonder Weapons. While giving the explanation, Bob wrote that similar to DMZ, the mode is open world, takes place on a new Warzone map, and has several identical features too.

For example, Zombies mode will have something called Essence, similar to Cash in DMZ. It can be obtained after completing contracts on the map. Moreover, it will have a weapons case as well, just like Warzone’s extraction-based mode. The leak also mentions that zombies will have three locations similar to DMZ.

Modern Warfare 3 Beta to reveal an extended look!

Meanwhile, all the players are currently eager to dive straight into the beta phase. The limited build will offer them a great opportunity to have a taste of what they will get upon MW3’s full release.

Talking about the beta content, it will feature multiplayer modes for the players. They will be able to explore five classic maps, namely Favela, Rust, Skidrow, Estate, and Popov Power Plant. Apart from them, the MP experience will reveal the return of numerous fan-favorite movement mechanics and perks.

Coming back to the Zombies mode, it will be the main highlight for the beta period. Modern Warfare 3 players will get to jump into an open-world map filled with large hordes of the undead.
