Ever since Call of Duty Modern Warfare II was released last year, loyal fans have endlessly asked for a Hardcore Mode. That’s because it was notably absent from the blockbuster title at launch. However, developer Infinity Ward recently revealed that Hardcore will finally make its debut when Season 2 comes out next month.
Interestingly, the update regarding Hardcore’s arrival was shared just a few days after Infinity Ward dropped several details about Season 2, including Resurgence’s comeback in Warzone 2 and Ranked Play for Multiplayer among other crucial things. One can say that the devs are now actually trying to deliver what the players really want in Modern Warfare II. While all the upcoming changes are welcome, it’s the return of Hardcore Mode which will definitely make the biggest difference, in keeping the Multiplayer setup relevant.

While it remains to be seen how MWII’s Hardcore mode will look like, one thing is certain it will be amazing, to say the least. There’s a reason as well for such a possible outcome. I'm curious if Hardcore is going to replace Tier 1 or if it'll be an additional playlist added to the menu. Either way, Hardcore is where I will live. Thanks for being this back, but it should have never been gone in the first place.
