Call of Duty: Vanguard Finally Answers Players’ Prayers With an FOV Slider for Consoles

The next generation of gaming consoles has truly arrived with a bang. Now, more and more studios are taking the needs of console players into account. Recently, a developer of Call of Duty: Vanguard shared a screenshot of an important feature in Filed of View Slider (FOV). This amazing feature allows players to easily tweak their FOV, thereby letting them increase their visual viewing capacity.

Console gamers had long clamored about the addition of this feature and it’s finally coming up with 2021’s Call of Duty title: Vanguard. Senior Sledgehammer executive, Adam Iscove,  shared a tweet that revealed the new feature. This feature will allow console gamers to increase and reduce FOV freely as per their needs.

The new feature of Call of Duty: Vanguard will be available on next-gen consoles

FOV slider is a key feature that few console titles contained. A report by GamesRadar suggests Sledgehammer Games has tailored this feature for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. However, it is also possible that the studio has added it as a staple feature for Vanguard.

There are no official reports and nothing has been confirmed officially. These reports serve as just speculations, as one of the senior developers merely confirmed the addition of the feature.

The slider will allow you to enhance your FOV from 60 to 120, which will significantly enhance the horizon. This will greatly help the console players by bringing them closer to the PC’s performance capabilities.

This feature will not affect PC players at all, as they have a significantly powerful hardware system that can easily handle such features.  It’s safe to say the new hardware capabilities of the next-gen consoles would be the perfect for this feature. These powerful machines can easily accommodate it without sacrificing frames or visual performance.

Vanguard is truly gearing up to be one of the biggest sequels yet. Sledgehammer Games has already assisted Treyarch and Infinity Ward in the production of Black Ops Cold and Modern Warfare. Now, the studio finally produced a title of its own, and it can redeem its position as perhaps the best Call of Duty studio.
