Call of Duty Vanguard is just around the corner and will take you to the old World War II days. Typically, Call of Duty games have consumed a lot of space on hard drives with their massive file sizes. But Call of Duty Vanguard is looking to change that narrative entirely.

Recently, publisher Activision said its upcoming Vanguard game will take up “significantly” less storage space than past titles in the long-running series when it finally arrives in November this year. This is a piece of great news for players who wanted to get some confirmation about the size of the forthcoming game and were left dazed with the enormous size of previous titles.

As per a recent post on the official Call of Duty Twitter feed, Call of Duty Vanguard will have a much smaller and reasonable install size at launch when compared to older CoD titles. You can check out the tweet below.

The tweet reads, “Vanguard’s install size at launch will be significantly below previous Call of Duty releases. New on-demand texture streaming tech expected to save up to 30%-50%+ on next-gen console and PC hard drive disk space.” Activision attributes the smaller install size of Vanguard due to “on-demand texture streaming tech.”

The recent Call of Duty titles has been taking up more than 100 GB of hard disk space, which as per new generation standards, is also a bit too much. Players usually have to delete or back up some game files to make space for these hefty games. But it looks like Call of Duty Vanguard might provide players some relief.

Activision is yet to provide details regarding the preload dates and a few other necessary things before players can dive into the world of Vanguard. What do you think about the new game size information? Let us know in the comments.
