Creative Director Reveals All the Features Forza Motorsport Would Be Missing at Launch

Developed by Turn 10 Studios, Forza Motorsport is a critically acclaimed racing simulation video game series. The meticulously designed cars and cutting-edge graphics of the game are providing a realistic racing experience for years. The latest season, which is Forza Motorsport 8, has been announced to be released on 10th October 2023. Considering its past records, the game is evolving with every season. But will season 8 be able to offer a deeper level of customization, immersion, and realism?

Chris Esaki, Creative Director of Forza Motorsport, has shared technical details about the upcoming season in a recent interview on Forza’s official YouTube channel. Here, he mentions a number of aspects that will not be available in the new season along with the reasons.

Forza Motorsport 8 will not have the Spectate Mode and AI competitors at launch. As Chris has explained, the players are going to have a featured Multiplayer event which doesn’t align with having Spectate Mode. And having AI competitors can affect the gameplay in terms of safety rating. Apart from these, he also mentioned the absence of the Split screen feature – “Our heavy investment in pushing our new graphical features and our complete overhaul of the rendering engine made split screen really difficult to implement…”

Anyway, Forza Motorsport 8 is coming up with a bunch of new features which will cover the absence of features like – Splits Screen, Spectate Mode, and AI. The players are going to have 100 brand new vehicles which are able to 20 types of constantly changing environments, 800 unique upgrades, and a fully customizable single-player career mode.

Besides, there will be features like – ray tracing, natural light-sensitive paint, 4k resolution graphics, a dynamic weather system, lighting tweaks, realistic sound, and so on. Players can access all these features on high-end gaming PCs and Xbox Series X.

Fans’s Reaction on Chris’s Revelation

After this huge revelation, Forza Motorsport players are anticipating multiple ideas about the upcoming series. While some fans already predicted these changes, some fans have praised Chris Esaki for his wise choice of in-game techniques. A fan here seems to be really excited about the race tracks in Forza Motorsport 8.
