Bandai Namco’s UK CEO hints to fans about future acquisitions “if it makes sense

Bandai Namco’s Armored Core VI has taken the internet on storm with fans pouring their love for this game. And sincerely this company is willing to make it last long. Fair enough! Now in a recent interview, Arnaud Muller, Bandai Namco’s UK Studio CEO spoke about Elden Ring’s Success widening the scope of a larger audience for Armored Core VI. Muller spoke about the company’s current goal to increase its global fanbase from 25% to 50%. For this, Muller thanks their marketing and sales network team with their own IPs in the West, which boosted the sales of Bandai Namco’s titles and other Japanese video games in the global market. In fact, Muller commented about their famous Tekken series’ global success with 50 million copies sold, with Tekken 7 alone selling over 10 million copies.

Some exclusive acquisitions in the video game industry

Undoubtedly, the video game industry has expanded, bringing more revenue. As a direct result of this Capitalist outlook, many big video game publishing houses take over talented studios. While this is a common factor for any business, Microsoft and Sony’s recent banter over Activision Blizzard’s takeover made fans really interested in this aspect.

In January 2022, Microsoft announced a deal of $69 million to take over the famous studio, which brought Call of Duty titles. While Sony’s attempt to stop this deal brought Microsoft a trial, the official verdict awaits the 18th of October. Microsoft’s other exclusive acquisition featured Bethesda’s parent company, ZeniMax Media in 2021. In January, Take-Two Interactive Studio also took over Zynga, a popular mobile games publisher company.

Now in this trend of acquisitions, Bandi Namco might be the latest entry. However, as of now, Muller’s interview predicts more conscious planning from the company. Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 awaits its release on the 26th of January next year. To date, fans can enjoy its mecha vehicular combat game, Armored Core VI: Fires Of Rubicon.
