Fortnite New Year’s Eve event is LIVE

Fortnite has gone LIVE with its New Year’s Eve event and it looks incredibly glamorous. The event will feature a huge disco light ball drop from the sky, quite similar to the NYE celebrations in New York City. The ball begins to drop as a countdown to the next year and announces the start of the New Year. The event is just about that and fans have already started reacting to it on Twitter.

Timezones are indeed a much confusing concept to understand and this fan isn’t to blame for thinking about the event dropping in early.

Another person thinks that the emote of the player is a remix of the boogie bomb!

Some other fans think it’s the same thing every year not realising NYE celebrations are same everywhere.

One more fan was really confused when the event started and their character started dancing spontaneously.

The build feature which allows players to create structures in order to defend and strategise is what sets this game apart. However, Fortnite is also introducing a new No Build Duos LTM in which players will play pure battle royale matches with no liberty to create structures around the map.
