The developer Square Enix released Final Fantasy XIV back in the year 2010. It’s been almost 11 years, and the game still hasn’t lost its charm. All the credit goes to the devs who kept the fans engaged with all the DLC expansions of this game. And speaking of DLCs, just a few days back, Square Enix released the fourth and latest DLC expansion Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker.
Earlier, this game had a disaster launch, as various bugs and glitches plagued it. But later on, the devs introduced some updates and patches and now the game’s in a healthy state. In fact, the game’s popularity is increasing at such a fast pace that the devs are not able to handle that amount of player base.

On December 16 2021, one Twitter user named “Nibel” shared this news, and which seemed to be surprising for fans. It’s been just a few hours of the tweet and looks like it’s already viral in the gaming community. As of now, it has already crossed 6k likes and has over 600 retweets followed by over 200 quote tweets.
And these numbers are still on a rise. So, fans can see that it’s not just the sales that are affected, but the devs have also halted the registrations and ads of the game.

Square Enix has temporarily frozen the physical and digital sales of the game. Apart from this, they have also stopped accepting any new registrations for the free trial. In fact, the devs have also rolled back all the advertisements of the game. However, some advertisements are still active due to some reasons. It looks like the devs are having a hard time dealing with the massive success of the game.
