Avalanche Software is developing an action RPG game based in the wizarding world. The game revolves around a fifth-year student of Hogwarts, and the game takes place in the 1800s, a time that takes place before the events of the Harry Potter movies.

It has many features like attending various classes to learn different magic and potions. Moreover, fans might get to tame multiple magical beasts. Let’s take a look at some of the magical beasts available in the game.

Hippogriff

Every wizarding fan knows about Hippogriffs, the half horse and half eagle creatures. Hippogriffs have the head, front legs, and wings of an eagle while the body, back legs, and tails of a horse. Moreover, this magical beast is famous for its immensely proud nature.

Throughout the Hogwarts Legacy’s gameplay reveal, we see our playable character riding a Hippogriff. They might be part of the magical beast class like in the movie. However, taming one might not be easy as they are extremely dangerous. They have an XXX rating, meaning only competent wizards should be around these beasts.

Thestral

After Hipogliffs, the other four-legged winged horse beings are the Thestrals. We saw the player interacting with some Testrals in the game. These mystical beings are invisible to the eyes of those who never witnessed death. However, those who witnessed these beings could see a beast with a skeletal face and body with bat-like wings.

Thestrals usually appear as calm beasts. But they are classified as an XXXX because they can attack those who are a threat to them. So, wizards need to be careful around them. These mythical beings are also very clever and can reach a destination by just hearing about the destination. So, it might not be easy to have one.

Mooncalf

Remember Newt Scamander feeding a herd of small magical beasts with smooth, pale grey skin and four spindly legs that ended in large flat webbed feet? Well, Mooncalf also has a long neck and bulging eyes. Moreover, it is famous for dancing under the moonlight.

The Ministry of Magic has classified Mooncalf as XX, meaning they are harmless magical beings. Moreover, Mooncalf’s dung before sunrise can help magical plants grow stronger and faster. So, maybe having a mooncalf can help the player in the gameplay.

Graphorn

One of the magical beasts that we see in most of the Hogwarts Legacy reveals and tweets is Graphorns. These magical beasts were revealed to fans in the first Fantastic Beast movie, where Newt Scamander was raising the last pair of breeding Graphorns.

These beasts are XXXX-rated because their species is in danger. The game is set in a time before Newt Scamander’s. So we might get to protect these beings from going extinct. Graphorns were hunted for their horns as they are used in making various potions. It would be fascinating to tame one of these mythical beings.

Remember the fluffy furred magical beast from the Fantastic Beast movies?  Nifflers are long snouts and a coat of black furry beasts who are kleptomaniac in nature as they steal shiny objects and can store a significant number of things in their tiny pockets.

Many Curse-Breakers and Goblins use these magical beasts to search for hidden treasure from even cursed sites. Even though they are adorable and harmless in nature, they have a XXX rating as it’s hard to handle these mini creatures that can wreak havoc if not handled properly.
