However, there are tons of Easter eggs across the various trailers released by Epic Games leading to the new season. Firstly, the alien invasion of Fortnite is announced via a news broadcast. The anchor seems to be speaking without any problem which defies all logic. Till now, it was believed that once a character entered the loop, they lost their ability to speak. It was further reiterated in the Batman x Fortnite: Zero Point series. Thus, it is puzzling as to why Epic has not kept with this plotline.

Rick and Morty have joined the imagined order to battle with the alien forces. A clip from the trailer shows Rick queue a musical cue from a synthesizer. This is an Easter egg from the movie ‘Adventures of the third kind’ and from the Rick and Morty episode ‘Get Schwifty’. The music is also reminiscent of the original Fortnite lobby music.

Ever since the aliens arrived on Fortnite, they have destroyed the Zero Point, setting the Foundation free. As a result of this, the map is covered with a purple hue. This is the same purple hue from the Zero Point and alien technology. It all points towards the aliens being responsible for what has been going on in the game.
