Fortnite has finally added one of the most anticipated updates of all time, and fans can’t keep their excitement content.

Field of view (FOV) is one of the important aspects of any video game. This is because it helps players have a wider look at the map and, at the same time, cut down on controller/mouse movement during battle. For FPS games, the standard FOV slider goes up to 120. However, Fortnite lacked in this case as it limited players to going max at 110.

And it’s not that players did not complain about it. In fact, they sent multiple requests, tweets, and every other possible way for Epic to consider it. Sadly, the devs kept this topic in the dark as they felt it would ruin the mechanics of the game. But now, it looks like the devs have heard fans’ cries as Fortnite pro, SypherPK found the slider not at 110 but at 120.

It’s true, you can now slide the FOV to 120 in Fortnite!

For the past five years, fans pleaded Epic Games to add a wider FOV to the game. However, they did not respond to their cries, stating that it would create performance issues. Now, with the entry of the UEFN, it looks like they have made it happen. Fortnite pro and YouTuber OrangeGuy was the first to discover it, as he uploaded a video about the same.

Then, it allured another big name from the world, SypherPK, who built an exclusive map for the community. In his latest video, Sypher explained how the entire thing works and how players could use the code for team v/s team fights in Creative 2.0. However, the Fortnite Pro also revealed a major con, alerting players to think twice before making a decision.

Apparently, Sypher explained how he felt weird after going back to playing pubs, arenas, etc, as the 120 FOV did not support them. So, if someone clocked in hours on his map at the higher FOV, it would be a challenge to run pubs, with a lower rate.

Last but not least, the new update might prove as a game-changer for Fortnite as it enhances the player experience. It allows gamers to have a much better look at the map and also in-between fights, giving them the extra few seconds to make the next move. Given that, a major speculation comes to our mind on whether Fortnite will add this to the entire game or continue to test it in Creative 2.0 for some more time.
