1. The Apollo 11 Tribute

The progress of mankind to understand the mysteries of the constantly expanding universe can be traced back many years. Although Starfield takes place in a futuristic timeline where Earth becomes inhabitable, there’s a tribute to humans’ most iconic step to understanding the world. The Apollo 11 landing site can be explored by the players in the game. It has the visuals of the American flag being hoisted next to the lander.

To unlock this feature, you just have to search for a book titled ‘Sir Livingston’s Second Journal’. You may find the book in one of the rooms while exploring New Atlantis City.

2. The Pyramid of Giza

Ever planned to visit the Pyramid of Giza? The developers of Starfield have taken care of your trip to the Egyptian Pyramids. When most of the creations on Earth have been turned into nothingness, players can still visit the pyramids on the fallen planet. There’s a smart depiction given to the structures considering the condition of Earth in the game.

To gain the objective, just visit Sinclair’s Book Store in the city of Aquila. After you buy the book called ‘Ancient Civilization of Egypt’, you’ll have the objective of visiting Cairo.

3. Visit the skyscraper of London

Just like the pyramid of Giza, there’s another man-made structure that stands tall after the unfortunate end of life on Earth. This particular structure is none other than London’s very well-known 310 m tall structure, The Shard. Get to visit the Shard by just purchasing the book ‘Oliver Twist’ at the same bookstore in Aquila City.

4. Empire State Building

To visit the Empire State Building in New York, you’ll have to go to the President’s office. Not in New York for Starfield, as the new civilization is being nurtured at Atlantis City. Land on Atlantis, head to the headquarters building directly to the President’s cabin. You will find a book titled ‘Our Lost Heritage’ that will give access to your visit to New York.

5. Taking a trip to Mars

A few hours into the Starfield main storyline, the player will be visiting the planet Earth with a purpose. Jumping the spoilers, you’ll observe a NASA museum stranded in the sand. We recommend you visit the museum and look for the showcase of the Mars rover. Upon interacting with the river, you’ll get to visit the real landing spot of the Opportunity rover on Mars.

6. Starfield pays respect to real-life space heroes

The closest star cluster system to the Sun, Alpha Centauri, has planets and moons named after real-life heroes of astronomy. The small detail is a gesture by Bethesda to show gratitude to the heroes of space. The names include names of astronauts from all around the globe.

7. The Skyrim reference

Remember the infamous line “I used to be an adventurer like you but then I took an arrow in the knee”? There are plenty of moments when Starfield takes you back to this legendary reference. Sometimes even NPCs tease the meme through dialogues. The combat skills tree has a graphic of maxed-out crippling perks visualizing the same line.

8. The Warranty Fraud

The classic debate around extended warranty fraud in America makes its way to Bethesda’s open world. You’ll encounter similar fraud calls on the extended warranty of your ship. Although, unlike the real world, you can plan your attack on the scammers through fleet combat.

9. Fallout 4 Meets Starfield

Titan, Saturn’s one of the moons, has a classic Easter egg. The place has a museum of collectibles from all around the universe. If you’re planning to explore the museum on Titan, do not forget to look at the baseball. The baseball labels “Playoff Baseball, Circa 1978 Old Earth Boston.” This is a reference to the Fallout 4 settlement Diamond City founded on the roots of a baseball stadium.

10. The Dark Knight Side Quest

A quest you’ll come across early in the game is ‘Mantis’. There are more than many reasons to go on with the quest. It will take you on a mission on the south pole of the moon for ultimate action combat with the outpost. You’ll have to fight through the ‘layer of mantis’ to reach the perfect Easter egg. Basically, the mantis is a vengeful place seeking its Batman. Yes, upon defeating the mantis you can be the Batman of Gotham like Mantis. A perfect call out to the Dark Knight!
