Gamescom 2021: PC Games That We are Dying to See

Gamescom 2021 begins on August 25th but the anticipation for gaming’s next big release has already reached its tipping point. Among the 70+ developers attending the event, there are some iconic PC game developers like Ubisoft, Electronic Arts and Activision will showcase their newest releases. Here are some of the PC games that we are longing to see at Gamescom 2021.

Diablo 2

Diablo 2: Resurrected is the remastered version of Diablo 2 a hellish RPG released in 2000. The upgraded graphics make the demonic atmosphere even more terrifying. Recently, an open beta was announced for the game where players got to experience the first two acts of the game. Blizzard has already announced a PC version of the game and we hope to see more of it in Cologne.

Battlefield 2042

When Battlefield 2042 was first announced, it is no secret that the excitement was palpable. The game is set to release on October 22, 2021. Thus, Electronic Arts could use this opportunity to showcase more gameplay for different systems. It will be incredible to see how the 128-man game modes run on a powerful PC setup. Furthermore, it will give EA a chance to introduce the new Hazard mode.

Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2 is the upcoming survival RPG from Techland Studios.  Dying Light 2’s showcase will be streamed during Gamescom on August 26 at 11am PT / 8pm CEST. Lead game designer Tymon Smektała will be at the helm of the event and help players “discover an impressive arsenal of deadly tools”. 

Deathloop

Until very recently, Deathloop was a PlayStation exclusive. However, Arkane Studios has announced a PC version of the game set to arrive on September 14th 2021. Pre-orders for the game have already begun at $59.99 and fans will be waiting for more gameplay before confirming their purchase.

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is still a few months from its October 6th release. However, Ubisoft Tornoto has not showed nearly enough gameplay for fans to get a true taste of the game. Gamescom 2021 will be a great opportunity for them to showcase how the game runs on different systems.
