Gamescom 2021 Xbox Showcase: Microsoft Flight Simulator Adds Breathtaking European Locations to the Game

The Xbox Showcase in Gamescom 2021 has just shared an amazing announcement for Microsoft Flight Simulator fans. The studio has shed light on more content that is going to roll out in the fall. Gamers will finally get to travel to breathtaking locations of Europe and they can also participate in the fastest air race on the face of the earth.

The studio has understood that fans just love flying these amazing planes at a high speed. In addition to this, they also love to race against their friends and people around the world. Everything will now become possible with this major update of the game.

Race among your friends to claim supremacy with Flight Simulator

Flight Simulator’s Head, Jorg Neumann, sat down to discuss everything that the team has worked on. First up, fans will get the chance to the most exotic locations of Europe with the next world update. Beautiful locations like Switzerland, Germany, Basel, Graz, Vienna, and Austria will all become available. Gamers will get the chance to explore beautiful airports of Lübeck, Stuttgart, Klagenfurt, St. Gallen, and several others. 

Furthermore, ranked games are finally coming to the flight simulator through Reno Races. Xbox has partnered up with RARA (the Reno Air Racing Association) to bring forward competitive multiplayer mode to the game. You can race against your friends or test your skills in the ranked matchmaking against ace pilots of the world.

Legacy series and brand new vehicles revealed in Gamescom 2021

The Gamescom 2021 showcase also revealed that the studio has decided to add 2 more prominent vehicles into the game. A brand new series of vehicles in Local Legend will add historically famous flying machines. First up, the studio is going to add a famous german plane Junkers JU-52, and it is also known as ‘Tante JU’ or ‘Aunt JU’ in the local tongue.

The local legend series will receive routine updates alongside world update to the map, as it intends to celebrate the aviation history of the world. The studio also announced the addition of Volocopter (eVTOL) intended to be the air taxi of the future.
