Genshin Impact: Zhongli Feels Like a True Geo Archon After Patch 1.3

Genshin Impact update 1.3 introduced the most awaited buff to Geo characters. These types of units work well only with each other, while a few combinations of elemental reaction can aid them. Although, the major downside of running a geo DPS units in the absence of elemental reactions is that it hurts their viability.
Owing to these reasons, miHoYo finally rolled out an adequate patch to upgrade their powers. Among the wide range of Geo units, Archon Zhongli went through a serious rework after path 1.3, with major improvement in his attacking prowess.

Zhongli is feels so much better in Genshin Impact
The upgrade to Zhongli was much needed, as his original release was underwhelming. He was meant to be a supporting character who would rely on his elemental burst and skill to dish out damage.
However, the released version turned out to be significantly weaker than intended. Meanwhile, his normal attacks were only doing less than a respectable number of damage. He simply did not feel like a 5-star character, let alone an Archon God. Moreover, he needed a complete overhaul.

This massive rework of the character has now added more potential by improving his versatility while increasing his viability as a competent support. His jade shield cannot be interrupted, and he can even dish out damage with his normal attack as it scales with 1.39% hp. So the new variant of Zhongli can deal significantly higher damage with his ultimate ability and normal attack, as everything scales with his hp pool.
A perfect build for him would revolve around HP, Geo damage bonus with some attack percentage buff, and energy recharge. Although his stone stele can now provide energy particles more reliable, but it is still a good idea to carry some energy recharge in your kit.

Powerful elemental resonance and defensive nature of Geo element
After this patch, Geo character’s defensive nature has been enhanced even further. These characters are 100% support units that can protect your party members while aiding them to deal even more damage.
The new elemental resonance will grant shielded characters with 15 increased attack damage, while the enemies will have their Geo resistance reduced by 20% for 15 seconds.

This exact change and the new rework buff of Zhongli has turned him into a true support god. He can pair well with other Geo DPS units like Ningguang and main character with Geo element and future Geo units who can make use of it.
