1. Assignments to learn additional spells

Goes without saying, magic is the most important aspect of Hogwarts Legacy. And to really get around in the game, be it combat or exploration, players need to be equipped with the right spells. While some are learnt through the course of the main story, some spells can be learnt through side quests. Regardless, each spell has its purpose and players should learn them all.

For example, Flipendo is an essential spell for completing Merlin Trials. Incendio and Glacius are very important in combat, especially when going up against multiple enemies. 2. Grow your plants

Buying seeds, potions or even a book might cost players a comparatively good deal of galleons. But with a great tip, they can choose to not spend more but consciously. Yes, without buying plants directly, players can buy seeds and grow them on their own. For example, Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogsmeade sells seeds and players have to buy those after the first lesson in Herbology. After this, players can simply grow their own plants in the classroom or in the wilds of Hogwarts. But either way, they save a good amount of money. Unlocking the Room of Requirement is very useful helpful since it offers plotting tables and scrolls for growing Fluxweed for Professor Garlick. Players can harvest Mallowsweet the same way for Merlin Trials.

3. Don’t forget the main quest

The enchanting visuals of Hogwarts Legacy might attract beginners to explore the vast lands and beautiful Hogsmeade. However, it is best that they start from the main story quest. If players do not start with the main story, they can’t unlock a range of things. For example, without the main story, players can’t get their own broomsticks to explore the game’s map. And if beginners start with the main story, they can unlock features and skills that will let them enjoy the gameplay way better. Therefore, start with the main story and at least proceed till Autumn to unlock the majority of the game’s main features. However, this doesn’t mean players need to complete the main story quest before they attempt side quests. Since side quests also help in unlocking many spells, players need to strategize the gameplay accordingly.

4. Know when to use stealth

In Hogwarts Legacy, stealth-based kills can be useful when taking on bandit camps and goblins. Players can use the invisibility Spell to sneak up behind enemies and use Petrificus Totalus. And to remain silent and hidden, players should remain crouched. However, stealth only works for so long. Once players are revealed, it’s open season!

However, against bigger enemies like Trolls, players will have to be ready to fight head on.

5. Find Demiguise Statues

Players on the map of Hogwarts Legacy will come across many locked doors. However, Potterheads surely know of the Alohomora Spell, which unlocks these locked doors. Now if players progress till the Autumn of the main story, they can attempt “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” quest. Now taking up this quest will reward players with Lockpicking Spell. After this, players need to collect nine Demiguise status/moons to unlock the second level of Alohomora Spell. After this, they can enjoy more Puzzle doors, Daedalian Keys and new treasures.

6. Complete Merlin Trials

One issue players will face is lack of gear slots. This is a problem because throughout the game, players get all sorts of gear at different levels with different perks. However, unused gear can be sold for money. Now Merlin Trials can be a great option for players as finishing up this quest will get them more gear slots.

7. Prioritize Stupefy

Shields are very essential for the combat system. Players mostly need to break through shield systems of different colors using spells that match the shield system’s colors. Players need to be alert while enemies put up their shields, and on breaking the shield, stupefy is super useful while spells are charging. Yes, spells have a cooldown time.

While switching spells can be done players need to remember all the spell’s positions in the unique shield sets. Now using Stupefy Spell, players can break shields as well.

8. Get gold through Eye chests

Hidden across the map, these are great for currency. However, to approach these chests and be able to open them, players need the disillusionment spell. And if players successfully sneak out of these chests, they can find 500 gold in each. beginners need to attempt the Secrets of the Restricted Section quest to unlock this spell.

9. Get easy money from Beast Dens

Beast Dens can be a source of great money if players know the right trick. For example, players can attempt for PuffSkeins. These animals are easy to catch and getting a hold of ten of these can be very easy. Players can get 1200 coins per den of Puffskeins.
