Ubisoft has a number of anticipated games under development for 2023. Assassin’s creed Mirage, The Avatar game, and a Remake of the original Splinter cell that was announced last year. Along with these games, Ubisoft has its timetable all set with Assassin’s creed Hex, Assassin’s Creed Codename red, and a bunch of new mobile games.

And one such game that is undergoing the remake period is Splinter Cell. Ever since its announcement, fans have been eager to see what Ubisoft is doing with it and how it would look. Everyone’s been waiting for their first look at this game, and finally, that wait is over.

Fans are stoked about the remake after seeing the concept art

A couple of days ago, Splinter Cell celebrated its 20th anniversary. And Ubisoft used this occasion to reveal some never-before-seen concept art for the game. And fans had a unified positive reaction to the concept art.

A Twitter user by the name of mgeoff88 even said, “I really like what I’m seeing. I hope Michael Ironside comes back to voice Sam.” While others asked Ubisoft to bring back the famous multiplayer mode Spies vs Mercenaries with this Remake. All in all, people are excited.

The Splinter Cell remake has been in development for a couple of years now, and it was even in news a while ago when the game’s director David Grievel left Ubisoft. He stated that he was leaving the company in search of new adventures.

Splinter Cell Remake would not be open world

It is well known that Ubisoft has primarily only worked on open-world titles, and this had some fans worried that maybe Splinter Cell might end up suffering due to an open-world implementation.

But Ubisoft Montreal, the developers of the game have made it clear that, unlike their other recent games, this remake would be a linear action-adventure title. This is awesome news for all the fans of Splinter Cell who were expecting the game t to be just another Open World game in line with Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs series.

Along with the concept art, Ubisoft also made it pretty clear to its fans that the game is still in the very very early development stage, but they are aiming for it to be a top-tier experience for the fans. The Game’s concept art looks good and is pretty faithful to the original game.

For those unaware, it is one of the first blockbuster series that Ubisoft worked on. This series of Stealth Action games once catered to hardcore stealth action fans. The last installment in the series Splinter Cell Blacklist was met with positive reviews thanks to its dynamic gameplay style.
