Tokyo Game Show 2023 is well under way. And pretty much every major publisher is presenting their most exciting titles there. Amongst them were Microsoft, Square Enix, and even Capcom, with a bunch of exciting new titles for their fans. Furthermore, there were updates regarding games as well.

One such title was Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, scheduled for a January release. And here we’ve compiled all that was revealed regarding the upcoming trilogy.

Tokyo Game Show 2023: What was told about Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy?

Ace Attorney is a series of video games where players find themselves in the shoes of Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes. These are basically visual novel adventure titles where the previously mentioned attorneys are tasked with solving several crimes and bringing the culprit to justice, by the way of the law!

These games are pretty heavy on setting the scene. It requires players to stay focused and study clues and evidence accordingly to reach the right conclusion. Players previously saw the games on consoles like the Nintendo 3DS. Now they are coming as a collection of modern consoles.

What are the games that make up the trilogy?

1. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

It was first released on the Nintendo DS, then on the Nintendo 3DS and iOS. This game stars Apollo Justice as the main protagonist, who starts his career under the series’ main protagonist, Phoenix Wright.

Phoenix has been stripped of his badge and takes on the role of guiding an up-and-coming lawyer into serving justice to criminals.

2. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney—Dual Destinies

It was launched for the Nintendo 3DS in 2014. Players take control of three different protagonists: Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes. Every character has different abilities that can be used in the investigation and collection of evidence.

Phoenix is able to spot witnesses in the crowd. Apollo can tell if a witness is lying or telling the truth; and Athena can tell if the witness is conflicted while giving a statement. These three combine these abilities to develop a strong case and bring justice!

3. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney—Spirit of Justice

This final game in the trilogy was first launched for 3DS in 2016. Players take control of three characters from the previous games, but in different cases this time around.

Phoenix is stuck fighting a case in the mystical kingdom of the Kingdom of Khura’in, where the rules of the normal justice system do not apply. Meanwhile, Athena and Apollo handle cases at his agency back home. This is a game with a wide range of cases and settings that is a lot of fun to play.

This trilogy brings these games to six additional languages, which include Japanese, French, German, Traditional, and Simplified Chinese. Additionally, these are new voice dubs too.

And let’s not forget the ability to play any BGM track from the trilogy. And finally, an elaborate art library.

This trilogy is seriously going to bring a lot of content to its buyers. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles, Xbox, and Steam on January 25, 2024.
