However, recently, the German-Austrian media company, Koch Media, has expressed its interest to host an event at the festival. The media company revealed that they would be hosting a live stream at the Summer Game Fest titled Koch Primetime. Fans can catch the live stream on Friday, June 11, Noon PT / 3 PM ET.

The media company is the parent to Deep Silver publishers. Thus it is famous for titles such as the Dead Island franchise, Metro, Saints Row, Wasteland, Shenmue 3, Maneater, and Hunt: Showdown. Fans are expecting more news regarding the development and potential release of Dead Island 2. Many had lost hope in the game after its announcement at E3 2014 was followed by years of silence. Saints Row V is another title fans will be looking forward to this year. Deep Silver’s action-adventure open-world sandbox is one of its most successful franchises. As a result, it will be no surprise if we get more news about the sequel to the fan-favorite Saints Row IV.

To reiterate how big the Saints Row franchise really is, Saints Row: The Third will be getting a remastered version on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Koch Media said it expects “notable organic growth expected in Games segments driven by significant product releases in 2021 and beyond.” In order to achieve this, they are developing multiple gaming studios. These include Volition, Dambuster Studios, Warhorse Studios, and the newly formed Free Radical, which is attempting to revamp the Timesplitters franchise.

Overall the event should be a spectacle as Weezer will kick off the show with a live performance. With this new event added to its already star-studded lineup, gaming enthusiasts should not miss the Summer Game Fest.
