Animal Crossing: New Horizons released 11 months ago and still remains highly relevant. Since the release, developer Nintendo has done a fantastic job in regularly updating the game with new items and events. Following the ‘Carnivale’ bought in by character Pave, Nintendo has announced the theme of its most recent update. The developers used the first Direct event of 2021 to finally reveal the Mario crossover they have teased since September.

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of its most recognized franchise in Mario, Nintendo revealed that it will add nostalgic items to its current top-selling game Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Players will be able to recreate Mushroom Island on Animal Horizons with themed items like clothing, mushrooms, coins, blocks. Additionally, Nintendo has added warp pipes to the world of Animal Crossing, which allows players to teleport throughout the island.
