Massive Black Ops: Cold War Update Sparks Insane Frenzy Among Call of Duty Fans – “Massive W!”

Even after more than a year since its release, it seems like Treyarch has not yet abandoned Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch dropped a bombshell after its surprise update last night. The update saw the return of a fan-favorite map, an all-new weapon, and a tracer pack.

New surprise update for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

Last night, Treyarch made an announcement about the upcoming update on their Twitter handle.

This update, to be quite honest, was quite unexpected. Fans of the game were quite happy with the update and expressed their thoughts. Players were also hopeful and added suggestions for additions they wanted as well.

Longtime fans of the series will be in for a pleasant surprise when they see the return of an iconic, fan-loved map that will bombard the player with nostalgia from the original Black Ops game. WMD, a map set in a weapons storage activity somewhere in the mountains, will be the next front for the battle between Adler’s CIA and Perseus.

The map is one of the larger ones and with it sporting elevated positions and other verticality, there is a lot of scope of occupying powerpoints to dominate. A well-placed sniper at an elevated position can lay waste to the enemy team.

However, that is not all in store for players. Also, being included in the update is an all-new, never-seen assault rifle, the Vargo 52.

The Vargo 52 is a fully automatic assault rifle with a high muzzle velocity. It has a high rate of fire and is exceedingly devastating at close ranges. In order to unlock the assault rifle for multiplayer, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War players need to deal 1,000 damage in 15 matches that they complete. This means that the player will have to stay throughout the match after dealing 1,000 damage and can not leave before that.

Call of Duty is all set to launch the sequel to Modern Warfare 2019 this year. Players are excited and hoping that the sequel retains the realistic and gritty setting Modern Warfare is known for.
