Nintendo Fan Touches Hearts After Showing Off a Heartwarming Star Wars Gesture From His Grandfather

A Twitter user uploaded a photo on 8th June 2022 showing off an old postcard. It featured the one sent by his grandfather asking about his goodwill. Interestingly, it wasn’t just an informal memo, as it referred to a classic Star Wars game.

Sounds strange, right? I mean, you never come across your grandfather sending you postcards with game references.

Grandpa sends a postcard asking about his grandson’s health with a gaming reference!

Twitter user Yogurt just yogurt uploaded a photo on 8th June featuring an old postcard from his grandfather. Even though some considered it an informal memo, esports fans found it extremely thoughtful due to the gaming reference. 

Apart from asking for his goodwill, his grandpa had added the cheat codes of a classic Super Nintendo title, Super Star Wars: Return of Jedi. In Yogurt’s Twitter post, he said, ‘I found a super old postcard from my grandfather that just says “Hi hope you are ok!” and a list of level codes for Star Wars: Return of the Jedi for SNES.’

There wasn’t a single thing in that post that one could make fun of, as even his grandfather’s sign read as G-DAD.

The Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi was first released in 1993 across the United States for the Super Nintendo. During the time, it perfectly fit in the run and gun genre because of its action-packed storyline, based on the movie, Return of the Jedi.

This title also followed the traditional star wars standard format featuring iconic characters at certain levels, multiple playable characters, and Mode 7 quasi-3D vehicle sequences.

It is important to understand that the 2000s were a crucial time for the gaming industry. During that time, franchises were constantly trying to keep their users hooked. For this, they also ended up releasing multiple titles in a short period. As a result, players found loopholes in the game that gave rise to cheat codes.
