In the YouTube sphere, ever since Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, witnessed his astronomical growth, many other creators recognized the potential in his content formula and decided to produce similar content. One of the most successful and renowned among these creators is Eric Decker, also known as Airrack.

Although Airrack creates content that is very similar to MrBeast’s, his scope and scale are not as extravagant as Jimmy’s. Apart from their content, another significant similarity between Eric and Jimmy is their admiration for PewDiePie. Having been the biggest YouTuber for a considerable period, Pewds served as the inspiration that ignited creators like MrBeast and Airrack.

Airrack Confesses his admiration for PewDiePie

Eric Decker, professionally known as Airrack, is a popular comedic vlogging YouTuber born on January 12, 1997, making him 26 years old. He initially gained recognition through his collaboration with Logan Paul in the “couch series,” a comedic project they worked on together. Airrack later set himself apart by creating extravagant vlogs and challenge videos, following a similar style to MrBeast but with unique video concepts on a smaller scale.

During a one-on-one interview with Wired, Airrack participated in Wired’s famous “Web’s Most Searched Questions” segment. Throughout the interview, he was confronted with the question, “Is Airrack’s dad PewDiePie?” Responding to this, Eric explained that he has an ongoing joke in his videos where he claims that PewDiePie is his father.

Airrack stated, “PewDiePie has always been the biggest YouTuber until MrBeast overtook him. Before that, he had been the biggest YouTuber on the planet for so long. And that’s my aspiration as well.”

PewDiePie’s perspective on the current YouTube landscape

During his highly anticipated appearance on the Trash Taste Podcast, PewDiePie shared his thoughts on the current influx of MrBeast imitators. In the podcast, he mentioned that during his time at the top, many creators attempted to copy his style and charm.
