YouTube content has become a mainstream source of entertainment. Consequently, content creators like MrBeast, PewDiePie, and more are treated no less than any big-name movie star or sportsperson. In some cases, internet personalities have more reach to the audience, especially the younger ones, than conventional influential personalities.

The reason behind the huge growth in popularity is their influence on the younger generation. There is no denying the majority of YouTuber fans are young, mainly kids, teenagers, and young adults. Recently, the famous English journalist Piers Morgan also acknowledged this fact on his talk show.

Piers Morgan recently had the controversial internet personality and former kickboxer Andrew Tate on his show. But before introducing him on the show, the English broadcaster questions whether his audience has heard about MrBeast, PewDiePie, keemstar, or the Paul brothers.

The Englishman guessed possibly most of them are unaware of these names. But he shares that those who have kids, would have heard the name he said. So he eventually decided to explain to his unaware audience, especially the older generation who are still new to internet content, about internet personalities.

He explained they are content creators who make viral videos on the internet. And those videos are viewed by billions of people but mostly young kids from across the world. He also shared these internet stars have endorsement deals worth millions. But above all, they have a huge impact on their young audience’s views.

The 57-year-old focused his words on how the ideologies of content creators affect kids, as talking about YouTubers is a common topic in shools these days. The 57-year-old stated, “They’re more influence than most musicians, soap stars, sports stars, columnists, and lawmakers.”

He also explained how content creators or internet personalities exist in a “parallel universe.” as their views are mostly unchallenged unlike “those power brokers of the past, the politicians and cultural stars who can set the social agenda.” But he also addressed the only thing that restricts them is “the ever-changing whims of big tech companies.”
