Following the huge success of Dead Space, Electronic Arts’ Motive has devoted its entire attention to the next single-player action-adventure project. Motive’s upcoming project is the Iron Man game that was announced last year. EA has remained tight-lipped and has only given out small bits of official information on the upcoming game, which entered production in late 2022.

The only thing fans know for certain is that the third-person title is going to have an original Iron Man plot. One that has not been seen in the movies or comics yet. However, a few more leaks about this superhero game have surfaced online.

EA Motive has posted a job listing for a Senior Writer for an upcoming video game project. They are searching for someone to assist them in creating engaging dialogue and an immersive narrative for their game. This job listing, however, includes a huge reveal about the game for which they are hiring and the type of game it will be.

According to the job description, they intend to build “innovative action games within iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero.” This statement immediately reveals that this jog is for the Iron Man video game. Additionally, narrative director Stephen Rhodes tweeted about this job listing, revealing that it is for the superhero game.

However, the job description mentioned “iconic worlds, where every player feels like the hero” twice. This sentence suggests that they want their players to have a lot of freedom in the game. Those who have spent a significant amount of time playing video games know that such freedom is only available in open-world games.

Many may ask if EA’s planned Iron Man game will work well in an open-world setting. Since this iconic Marvel superhero can fly, it might be one of the soundest choices. Players would definitely enjoy flying over the map in the classic high-tech suit. Perhaps, with Jarvis access.

Even Marvel’s Avengers featured a flying mechanic for Iron Man that fans appreciated. But it wasn’t an open-world game, so there was much left to be desired. It will be fascinating to see whether EA goes down this path.
