TenZ thinks certain buffs could make Yoru useful in competitive Valorant play

The pro player shared his thoughts about the about duelist and also called him bit passive. He shared vital tips about using the agent and also stated that Yoru cannot be played aggressively. The agent indeed showcases a kit of a duelist, but every play that he makes is quite obvious.

TenZ also highlighted key issues with his signature ability, teleportation, and sound cues that give away his position. According to him, this agent really needs some tweaks, but not a complete revamp from the ground up.

He stated that Yoru fills in the role of a support duelist who has to be played passively from the back-line. However, a few changes to the way his kit works could turn him into a viable agent that could see him being picked up in competitive play.

” I think the only way to buff this character is by making him more lurky, is by reducing his ability noises by a lot. So like you can only hear it, if he is right beside you, I think that is probably the only things that they could probably do to this character to make it somewhat good. Because right now, like, if you teleport, people know where you teleport. If you ult people will know where you will land”

Developers should tweak Yoru’s abilities, suggests TenZ

The pro player also stated that these changes could make him a good attack side agent. Right now, the community barely ever picks him up in pub games, which is a detriment of his weaker kit. The pro player also stated that the developers should look to make the character invulnerable when he is in teleport animation, like Reyna and Jett.

A minor tweak to his ultimate ability and allowing players to pull out guns quicker would also serve as a welcome change, according to TenZ. The thoughts expressed make it seem like TenZ really likes the character, but the massive design flaw makes him an unpalatable choice.
