Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has mostly failed to sway the community since its awaited launch in 2022. Before its release, hardcore franchise lovers were hoping for it to be phenomenal, but it wasn’t the case at all. As of now, the game has ended up being a mixed bag of some positives and many negatives. Among them is also the badly implemented movement system, compared to the previous installments.

Movement mechanics in the ongoing entry have annoyed a large number of players. Coming after 2019’s rebooted Modern Warfare, it was expected to carry forward with faster pacing. However, the makers decided to bring unwanted transitions, thus adding slower movement. Along with that, the sliding has also faced a severe hit in MWII.

Yes, that’s the sad reality of the current title from Activision. In comparison to its predecessor, the game has got a disappointing sliding mechanic. It has literally no effect on the firing speed of the weapons. That’s what COD YouTuber TheXclusiveAce tried to explain in one of his recent videos.

He told that sliding in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is just bad compared to 2019’s entry. It’s because it’s of no use whatsoever, unlike Infinity Ward’s title from four years ago.

According to TheXclusiveAce, there’s a very high slide-to-fire delay in MWII. In other words, it takes more time for a weapon to start shooting after sliding. The YouTuber tried to test multiple weapons to see if there was any difference in the timing. Unfortunately, all the weapons acted the same way while taking longer time to fire after sliding.

On the other hand, Modern Warfare 2019 has got a faster slide-to-fire timing. It is more quicker for enabling the players’ weapons to fire. Per the YouTuber, the average slide-to-fire time in the predecessor is 350 milliseconds while its sequel takes 520 milliseconds! Clearly, there’s a sharp distinction between the two games. All things considered, the latest title is miserably slower for players who like to slide and shoot.
