After a long wait, Starfield is now globally out for everyone following the early access period that began a week ago. All the players, who were eager to venture into its open-world universe, can do so without having to wait anymore. It’s a big moment for Bethesda, for sure, with its first new IP in the last 25 years.

However, not every fan may end up having a lasting relationship with this space epic. That’s due to one major reason which may prevent few players from fully embracing their experience with Starfield. Surprisingly, it’s related to the ending of the game according to director Todd Howard himself.

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, Todd Howard recently had a media interaction. It took place around the time when the Early Access period for Starfield had kicked off. In the interview, the director talked about a lot of aspects connected to the game while also revealing a few unexpected details. Apart from discussing many topics, however, he also threw some light on its ending. Todd implied that there’s a chance not every Xbox fan will be happy with how the space epic concludes.

Todd Howard said that the ending of Starfield “might be a little controversial,” for certain players. Giving an explanation for his belief, he said: “We ask a lot of questions. We don’t provide a lot of answers. Because I think we want a lot of those answers to be in you,he told media outlet NPR.

Recently, there have been some reactions online from users who have been able to finish the story. Their opinions about the ending were similar to what Todd has revealed. Simply put, Starfield maybe a great Xbox title, but it won’t satisfy everyone with the way its campaign concludes. Developed by Bethesda, it is now available worldwide on Microsoft’s consoles as well as PC.
