Super Mario Bros. Movie is just on the horizon. People seem excited about it. There are very few reservations about the movie and most fans are excited about the fact that this movie is pretty close to its source material.
The world looks as beautiful and vibrant as it should, and the characters are well-designed. And most of the voice actors are doing a pretty good job. The movie is currently in the final stages of development at Illumination Entertainment.
And now the rumors are that this Universal-owned studio might be working on bringing yet another Nintendo Franchise to the big screen!

Illumination Entertainment has another big Nintendo movie in the works after Super Mario Bros
While fans are pretty excited about the big screen debut of Nintendo’s uber-popular mascot. They have yet another thing they can look forward to in the coming future. It appears Nintendo and Universal have reached a conclusion that they would work together yet again on a very different project.
Rumors say that Illumination Entertainment has already started working on a movie based on Nintendo’s popular The Legend of Zelda series.

Yes, you read correctly. Our favorite silent hero, Link, would soon be fighting Ganon on a big screen. And it looks like this movie is in the right hands too, as Illumination seems to be already doing a great job with Super Mario Bros. IP.
Now we cannot help but wonder which game would they be taking the most inspiration from. We would love to see Legend of Zelda Wind Waker get some love.
We would not even mind seeing Breath of the Wild’s work recreated for the big screen either.
Another question that arises is of the actors. We do not know what actors would we see portraying various game characters in the movie. Of course, Link never speaks in these games, but like Mario, movies would have a speaking Link.
If there is any ground to these rumors, I bet we would soon get these questions answered in the coming months.

Video game movies and series are gaining a lot of traction!
Video games have been transitioning into our TVs and theatres pretty effectively nowadays. Series like The Last of Us and God of War are already on the way. Additionally, we have received two Sonic the Hedgehog movies.

Super Mario bros. the movie is almost here, so it would not be very surprising if we see a movie based on The Legend of Zelda released soon. We also have popular Stranger Things actor Gaten Matarazzo waiting on a series or movie based on this series anyway, so Nintendo might already have its Link!
