Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most awaited games at the moment and fans are really excited for its grand debut in the coming months. Although it was set to come out in 2022 itself, now it’s been pushed further for an arrival in early 2023.
While several fans were already a little upset with the ongoing delay, now they seem to be really annoyed by Hogwarts Legacy. It’s because of a key gameplay element that’s now been confirmed to not appear in Hogwarts Legacy.

Quidditch will not be playable in Hogwarts Legacy
As most of the Harry Potter are aware of this fact, Quidditch is a sport comprising of two teams with seven players on each side, being mounted on broomsticks. The game is hugely famous among all the lovers of Harry Potter franchise created by author J.K. Rowling.
When it comes to video games, Quidditch has been present in some of the titles from the past. For example, 2003’s Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, developed by EA UK and Magic Pockets, largely focused on this sport itself.
Unfortunately, though, the awaited Hogwarts Legacy from Avalanche won’t have a playable Quidditch. This was recently confirmed on the official website of the game. The FAQ section for the project clearly mentions that the sport will not be available to play for the fans.
“Quidditch is not playable in Hogwarts Legacy. However, broom flight for traversal and broom race challenges are part of the game. Players can also fly brooms to explore new and familiar locations surrounding Hogwarts Castle.”

In fact, many of them expressed huge disappointment to the game having no playable Quidditch at all. “That’s so lame. I was looking forward to the game, but that definitely brings it down a bit…”, wrote on frustrated player.
That’s so lame. I was looking forward to the game, but that definitely brings it down a bit. It’s like when they made the Skywalker Saga LEGO game and it didn’t have the character customization. Big disappointment on both ends
