Halo Infinite was released back in 2021. It was the sixth mainline installment in the series. The game had a massive following and hype attached to it, as the fans were expecting a lot of great things from the next-gen Halo game. But the game fell short in some aspects and the hype got lost as the days passed. Recently, Microsoft studio boss Matt Booty has shared his honest thoughts on the game’s performance.

Matt Booty shares his thoughts about Halo Infinite

On November 4, 2022, Matt talked with the members of Friends Per Second podcast in an interview on YouTube titled, “Xbox Studio Boss Matt Booty talks Halo, Starfield and Xbox in 2023”. According to Matt, the studio failed to plan to sustain the content for Halo Infinite. He said, “These days, with a game like Halo Infinite, shipping the game is just the beginning. There has got to be a plan for content sustain; there has got to be a plan for regular continuing engagement. And we just fell short of the plan on that.”

In the end, Matt Booty thanked the players for sticking with them. He assured fans that they learned from their mistakes and has taken repercussions so that a situation like this never happens again. But unfortunately, he confirmed that there is nothing new coming to Infine except some “quality of life” updates and “regular cadence of content.”
