With over 120 million units sold worldwide, the Nintendo Switch is one of the most popular gaming consoles ever. However, the gaming community is growing in concern over how much longer the Nintendo Switch can hang around. With seven years into the industry, the console is showing obvious signs of aging hardware. Nintendo‘s recent sales numbers of the Switch have also taken a slump with so many options in the market.

With the question of longevity, many fans are scurrying to make more use of the Switch and play for as many hours as possible. That being said, players have urged developers to release many popular titles on Switch for fans to enjoy. Both Sony and Microsoft have announced upcoming exclusive titles for their PlayStation and Xbox consoles and fans are wallowing for Nintendo to follow suit. Here are 3 Nintendo games and ports that the Switch should get before the games disappear from the players’ memories.

Mario Bros. 2D: All the last three released Nintendo consoles received their own Mario Bros. games. So it’s only right that something as legendary as the Switch gets its own version of it as well. With over 120 million Switch users, there is an absolutely high possibility that an iconic title like Mario Bros. would sell like crazy. If Nintendo keeps ignoring fan requests for a Switch version of Mario, they may just end up confirming the rumors of the Switch becoming less important to the company.

Zelda titles: The Zelda titles are massively popular among gamers still. Zelda Twilight Princess HD and Zelda Wind Waker HD were both released on the Wii and the Gamecube consoles. Both of these consoles have poor records on the market compared to Switch’s performance. While the Wii still holds up with over 100 million units sold to date, the Gamecube falls much behind with being sold even under 22 million units. If Nintendo is secretly looking to get the Switch sales numbers to go higher, they should definitely consider porting these two The Legend of the Zelda titles to the Nintendo Switch instead.

Skylander HD Collection: A rumor that the developers didn’t deliver upon. This Toys For Bob title went into oblivion soon after release. If Nintendo decides to give a shoulder to the devs and come up with a design plan for Skylander, it would not only give the Skylander another go at making players’ days, the move will also boost the sales of the Switch once again.
